As your Holistic Health Coach, I will listen carefully and help you to navigate the world of contradictory nutrition and lifestyle advice to determine what changes are necessary for YOU. You see...one size does NOT fit all.
For example, "Person A" might thrive as a vegetarian whereas " Person B" may feel weak and need animal proteins to feel their best.
Together, we will explore concerns SPECIFIC to you and your body and discover the tools you need for a lifetime of balance. You have the ability to reach your goals.
As a client of my Health Coaching program, you will…

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Holistic Health Coach?
It seems like almost everyone is using the term "Health Coach" these days. Unfortunately this has caused a lot of confusion among those looking for support. Some health coaches simply sell supplements, others might have been crowned that title because they spear-head their company's "wellness program", etc.
A Holistic Health Coach has received training in nutrition and lifestyle management. We look at the whole picture to help our clients navigate their way to success. I personally attended the premier school for Holistic Health Coaching - The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). During which time we studied countless dietary theories, their pros/cons and how to work with our clients to find the right method for them. Additionally we looked at lifestyle factors and their influence on a person's success. Behavior management is one tool in our box to help you reach your goals!
* You may see a new term popping up - Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. This again is to set graduates from IIN apart from the rest of those using the "Health Coach" title.
Can't I just workout and everything else will take care of itself?
Unfortunately the answer is no. While exercise is a key component to health and wellness, it's not exclusive. Other factors such as nutrition, recovery, sleep, lifestyle and more come into play. A lot of people don't workout so great job staying on top of that! 🙂
Before I became a Holistic Health Coach I was a Personal Trainer. My experience was that clients would come in and train really hard for our hour together but their real challenge were 23 hours once they left the gym. They would leave and struggle with their nutrition, lifestyle, etc. and consequentially would end up frustrated by their slow or lacking progress.
I eat right and workout so why can't I reach my goals?
Same answer as above. Many factors come into play when it comes to obtaining your health, wellness and fitness goals. Exercise and nutrition are top major factors but not the only ones.
I don't live near you - can I still work with you?
Absolutely! The structure of our sessions allow us to work together "remotely". This could be over the phone or video chat online.
Will we just be talking about food all the time?
Every person is different in where they're at in life and the goals they're working towards. It's likely there will be a good amount of "food talk" but our sessions will be focused on what is happening at that time. It could be food, career, relationships, etc. Health and wellness are not ONLY about food. Of course that's a huge part but we would be shortchanging your success if we didn't address other factors.
Will my information be kept private?
Your privacy is of the utmost importance to me and will not be discussed or share with ANY other parties without your explicit consent. Fostering a safe environment is top priority. My goals is to have you feel safe and comfortable when sharing information.
Does "Holistic" mean we'll be doing New Age foo foo stuff?
This question makes me laugh! While there are many modalities are along those lines when you hear the word "holistic", Health Coaching isn't one of them.
Webster dictionary defines the term "holistic" as: relating to or concerned with wholes or with complete systems rather than with the analysis of, treatment of, or dissection into parts. All that means is that we approach things as a whole. For example, if you have IBS, that's a symptom. Sure there's stuff you can take to mask the problem, but we're going to zoom out to a birds-eye view to see if we can figure out the cause and work towards correcting. It could be something in a totally different part of your body!
Does a Holistic Health Coach take the place of my doctor?
Definitely not! We look at food, lifestyle and exercise among other things to improve your health and wellness. In a perfect world we would work in conjunction with your physician.
Does this service qualify under my Health Savings Account requirements?
Some HSA's will cover Health Coaching. Please check with your provider for more information.
