Hey there friends! Today I want to talk abut one of the most underrated things when it comes to our bad habits - Mindfulness.
Now I know that your first reaction might be "Oh lord...here we go with all the woo-woo stuff". On the contrary friend, we're going to keep it simple and high-level.
Well it's that time again...a time of resolutions, "New Year New You's", great intentions, poor planning and sadly, more often then not...disappointment.
And even though I periodically bring up the fact that I don't believe in waiting until the magical day that seems to be January 1st to make change, I have to admit I enjoy and appreciate the collective energy of everyone's intention for change at the beginning of the year.
Today I wanted to share something that happened to me. It wasn't anything blatantly earth-shattering or in-your-face. In fact, it was simply a series of thoughts that ran through my mind.
Thoughts that occur everyday but today I caught them "red-handed" in the act. See if you can relate my friend.
It's that time of year...lots of sunshine, outdoor activities, vacations and more. We're outside moving and grooving, soaking up the rays, splashing in the water and having an overall great time!
It's also the time to be extra diligent on staying hydrated!
While you may know everything we're about to cover, it never hurts to have a friendly reminder. 🙂
When you hear the word "mediation" do you immediately think of a monk sitting on a mountain top at sunset in the midst of a deep transcendent state of mind? Does it seem like only those who devote hours a day to the practice are the only ones who can benefit? Or maybe it's just "not your thing"...
I want to make a bold statement...meditation is for EVERYONE. Now, it's not often that we can make such a grand generalization, but in this case I think it's safe to say we can.
