Guided Meditation (Audio Included)
When you hear the word "mediation" do you immediately think of a monk sitting on a mountain top at sunset in the midst of a deep transcendent state of mind? Does it seem like only those who devote hours a day to the practice are the only ones who can benefit? Or maybe it's just "not your thing"...
I want to make a bold statement...meditation is for EVERYONE. Now, it's not often that we can make such a grand generalization, but in this case I think it's safe to say we can.
I want to quickly give you some of the benefits that you can reap from incorporating meditation into your life and then you'll have a chance to play a guided meditation that I recorded for you.

While this is not an all-inclusive list, I'm sure you'll agree that we can all benefit from the "side effects" of meditation.
There are many forms/methods of mediation that can be implemented. There's no "right" or "wrong" version so my suggestion is to try different variations and use what feels best for you. A quick Google search will give you a multitude of options (counting, focusing on the flame of a candle, walking meditation, etc.).
One of the challenges that many come across, especially when they first start meditation is a wandering mind. This is actually a normal part of the process, but can be frustrating. Guided meditation can help reduce this by letting someone else take the driver's seat. All you have to do is go along for the ride.
Below is a guided meditation that I've done for groups. It's been pretty well received and I invite you to try it out. It's actually a chakra guided meditation. If you're unfamiliar with the chakra system, no worries - here's the cliff notes explanation.
We're all made up of energy. The "chakras" are the main hubs that run along the center of our body (see pic below) and are tied to different physical organs, emotions, etc. When they become depleted, blocked or overactive we have issues. The goal is to bring them back to their natural state so the body can be healthy and strong.
Feel free to use the image above as a point of reference as you listen to the meditation. Regardless of your level of knowledge with the chakras, or heck...if you even believe in the whole energy system, you'll reap the benefits of the mediation itself (I promise). 🙂
